The Essex Golf and Country Club

Features & Amenities

The Essex Golf and Country Club's wellness space (sauna, pool, gym, hot tub) is anchored by a well-regarded sauna and decent pool. The gym and sauna draw regular members, particularly those on longer stays. However, the jacuzzi's chlorine levels are described as excessive, causing eye burning rather than relaxation. Day visitors face friction accessing lockers without pound coins, and no convenient cash-exchange solution exists. The overall wellness offering feels secondary to the golf course, with facilities maintained but not prioritised.
